It truly is amazing that one can start with yarn and pipe cleaners and finish with a human figure that actually resembles something recognizable, in this case a mother figure. With video instructions, a patient teacher who provides constructive feedback and my canine companion, Hadeley Stuart, as a model for the doggie, these puppets have come to life. Credit to my puppetry instructor, Suzanne Down of Juniper Tree Puppets for helping me craft my very first human puppet. Many thanks to Earth Mama Fiber Studio for the guidance on blending yarns to create realistic skin colors.
