The inspiration for this scene came from several of my snorkeling and scuba diving photos from Florida and Hawaii. I'm sure I could have been a mermaid as much as I love to see beneath the ocean's surface and swim with the amazing sea life. It is hard to say what brings the most joy, floating along the vast sandy bottom or tucking in close to the coral reefs full of little creatures darting in and out and all about! This scene was developed as part of a class assignment for performing the children's nursery rhyme Ickle Ockle Blue Bockle.
